WE DID IT!!!  

You guys are amazing.  You guys fueled us, pushed us and inspired us.  What a journey so far.  THANK YOU!

We not only reached our goal last night -- we also became the MOST FUNDED Indiegogo food project of all time!  And no other IGG food project comes close to our total backer #s, which is what we really care about.  Go ahead, check it out, it's there for anyone to see:

SURPRISE THANK YOU GIFT: The Loco'l Comic Book

We're putting together a Loco'l comic book / graphic novel with our incredibly talented friends at Folklor.  We're incorporating all of our "characters" into the storyline, where the Loco'l crew guards the precious seeds in a world of synthetic foods.  And Chef Daniel cooks late into the night to overturn the clown dictator.  Really fun stuff, can't wait to show you guys.

We'll figure our distribution later -- we might sell it in bookstores, we might sell it online.  But one thing is for sure: 

ALL OUR BACKERS WILL GET A DIGITAL COPY of the Loco'l comic book!  

We'll email a download link directly to you when it's ready.  Even at just $1 (we'd go lower if we could). It's the least we can do.  We mean it when we say every backer counts, regardless of the dollar amount.  So tell a friend!  Now that we achieved our dollar goal, the only # that really matters is how many people roll with us on our journey.  $1 gets you in, and a free comic book!

Two days left!  We're really noticing you guys doing a great job getting the word out.  It's just awe-inspiring how much momentum we've picked up in the last few days.  Seriously, you guys are inspiring us to keep pushing with you.

Just 1 week ago we were at 59%, which took over 6 weeks to get to...  

And now we're moments away from 100%!  That's a productive week! 

Got some fun announcements to make before we (hopefully) hit our goal and enter the final 48 hours.

Jon Favreau's Loco'l Challenge Met!

We made some huge progress in the last few days!  The Jon Favreau challenge was met last Saturday, and we all got to see Jon deposit his $7,500 grant as promised!  We see you guys, our amazing backers, sharing the good word, and we know that's just the tip of the sharing iceberg!  Much gratitude from us, seriously.

Special thanks to Gwyneth Paltrow for making a significant pledge to put us over the top!  She picked up the Saturday morning farmer's market shopping trip with Daniel Patterson!  How fun!

New Goal, Same Ambition!

Some of you might have noticed that we just lowered the Indiegogo goal to $100K (instead of the $150K we started with).  

We wanted to be complete transparent about it with you. Money was never the primary goal.  We care much more about the total number of backers than the total dollar amount.  And we're on pace to be the most successful Indiegogo food project of all time, both in backers and total dollar amount.  So in many ways, this campaign is already a success.  

How disappointing would it have been if we reached all those crazy milestones, and yet we still fell short of our arbitrary starting goal?  

For that reason, we decided to lower the public goal to a clean $100K.  

Currently thinking up possible stretch goals for $150K.  Tweet or email us your suggestions!
